OSB Group, a specialist lender and savings bank with offices in Wolverhampton, are supporting local charity The Albrighton Trust ahead of the King’s Coronation this weekend.
The Albrighton Trust offer educational and recreational activities just off the A41 in Albrighton, Wolverhampton for local people disadvantaged through disability, special needs and illness.
The charity trust has been running for 30 years but the impact of covid has seen their volunteer numbers in decline, and the cost of living crisis has meant that due to material costs, funding and donations don’t stretch as far as they need them to. OSB Group who have offices on Broadlands just off junction 2 of the M54, have provided a £2000 donation and are also running weekly volunteering opportunities for staff to offer hands on support at the gardens as part of their company provided volunteering hours.
The donation will help the trust to purchase much needed materials such as planting supplies (seeds and plants) plus gardening and landscaping equipment to help them with their garden which coincides with the King’s Coronation and their own Pearl Anniversary.
Neil Richardson, Chief Sustainability Officer, OSB Group said “The local communities from where we operate from are really important to us and supporting them is key to our values. The work done by The Albrighton Trust is exceptional and we are delighted to be able to support them not only through a financial donation but also via our colleague’s using their company allocated volunteering time to help their goal become a reality in time for two special dates. We really hope our help provides visitors with an environment that supports them and their activities.”
Stephen Jimson, Manager, The Albrighton Trust said “The support from OSB Group has helped us to achieve much needed developments to the gardens for our visitors which without it would have taken us a long time to achieve. Although the donation is amazing and hugely appreciated, having their colleagues come along and volunteer is just wonderful!”
